अनुमतेऽन्विदं मन्यस्वाकूते समिदं नमः । देवाः प्र हिणुत स्मरमसौ मामनु शोचतु
anúmate ’nv idáṃ manyasv ā́kūte samídáṃ námaḥ | devā́ḥ prá híṇuta smaráṃ asáu mā́m ánu śocatu ||
O Anumati, approve this duly; O Ākūti, accept this fuel-stick—obeisance! Ye Gods, drive Smara forth: let yonder one burn after me.
يا أنوماتي، أجيزي هذا على وجهه؛ ويا آكوتي، تقبّلي عودَ الإيقاد هذا—سجودٌ لك! أيها الآلهة، ادفعوا سمارا إلى الأمام؛ ولْيَحترقْ ذاك هناك شوقًا ورغبةً في أثري.
