यदि चिन्नु त्वा धना जयन्तं रणेरणे अनुमदन्ति विप्राः । ओजीयः शुष्मिन्त्स्थिरमा तनुष्व मा त्वा दभन् दुरेवासः कशोकाः
yádi cin nú tvā dhánā jáyantaṃ ráṇe-raṇe anumádanti víprāḥ | ójīyaḥ śuṣmin sthirám ā́ tanuṣva mā́ tvā dabhann durévāsaḥ káśokāḥ ||
Yea, even if the seers acclaim thee, winning prizes in battle after battle—be thou yet mightier, O vehement one; stretch forth thy steadfast strength. Let not the ill-disposed, the baleful, circumvent thee.
نعم، وإن كان الرِّشِيّون (ṛṣi) يثنون عليك، وأنتَ ظافرٌ بالغنائم في معركةٍ بعد معركة—فكنْ أشدَّ بأسًا، أيها العنيفُ المندفع؛ وابسطْ قوّتَك الثابتة. ولا تدعْ ذوي السوء، أهلَ النحسِ والبلاء، يلتفّون عليك ويخدعونك.
