Sukta 5
ugrá enaṃ devá iṣvā́sa udī́cyā diśó antardeśā́d anuṣṭhātā́nu tiṣṭhati náinaṃ śarvó ná bhavó néśānaḥ
Fierce, the divine Archer from the mid-region of the northern quarters stands close in attendance upon him; neither Śarva, nor Bhava, nor Īśāna reaches him.
Rishi: Atharvanic/Vrātya-complex attribution (AV 15).
Devata: Divine Iṣvāsa (archer-guardian) and implicitly Rudra’s epithets as adversarial powers.
Chandas: Atharvanic mixed/prose-like cadence.
