यो व आपोऽपामग्नयोप्स्व१न्तर्यजुष्योऽ देवयजनः । इदं तानति सृजामि तान् माभ्यवनिक्षि । तैस्तमभ्यतिसृजामो यो३स्मान् द्वेष्टि यं वयं द्विष्मः । तं वधेयं तं स्तृषीयानेन ब्रह्मणानेन कर्मणानया मेन्या
yó va ā́po ’pā́m agnáyo ’psv àntaryajúṣyo ’devayájanaḥ | idáṃ tā́n áti sṛjāmi tā́n mā́bhy àvaníkṣi | táis tám abhyàtisṛjāmo yó ’smā́n dvéṣṭi yáṃ vayáṃ dvíṣmaḥ | táṃ vadhéyaṃ táṃ stṛṣīyā́nena bráhmaṇā́nena kármaṇā́nayā menyā́
Whoso of you, O Waters, are the Waters’ fires, lodged within the waters, fit for the inner Yajus, sacrificers unto no Gods—these I send forth beyond; wash them not back upon me. With them we hurl him forth against that man who hateth us, whom we ourselves do hate. Him would I smite, him would I crush, with this brahman, with this operation, with this wrathful impulse.
يا أيتها المياه (Āpaḥ)، من منكنّ هي نيرانُ المياه، المقيمةُ في المياه، الصالحةُ لليَجُس الباطن (antar-yajus)، مُقَرِّباتٌ لا يَذْبَحْنَ للآلهة: هؤلاء أُطلِقُهنّ متجاوزاتٍ (عنّي)؛ فلا تغسِلْنَهُنّ راجعاتٍ عليّ. وبهنّ نَقذِفُه على ذلك الرجل الذي يُبغِضُنا، والذي نحن نُبغِضُه. إياه أُريدُ أن أَضرِبَ، إياه أُريدُ أن أُحَطِّمَ—بهذا البَرَهْمَن، وبهذا الفعل (karman)، وبهذا الغضب منّي.
