Even with great effort, the foremost of the Vānaras could not wrench out that śakti hurled by the mighty Rāvaṇa—harried as they were by volleys of arrows from the swift-handed rākṣasa.
It was not feasible for the best of Vanaras to pull out the javelin (from Lakshmana's body) discharged with great strength from Ravana's hand, despite great efforts.
Dharma is expressed as devoted service under danger: the Vānaras strive to save Lakṣmaṇa despite pain and enemy assault, showing loyalty to a righteous cause.
The Vānara leaders attempt to extract the embedded śakti but fail, while Rāvaṇa’s arrows continue to batter them.
The Vānaras’ sevā (selfless service) and dhṛti (endurance) are emphasized—effort maintained even when success is difficult.
