Those best of monkeys—mighty and radiant—though seized by misgiving, advanced toward that cave with a surge of resolve and excitement.
The brilliant host of monkeys experienced both fear and joy to see the cave difficult to enter.
Dharma is courageous commitment to a righteous task: fear is acknowledged, yet duty compels forward movement in service of truth and justice.
Despite doubts about the cave’s danger, the monkey leaders decide to proceed toward it as part of the search.
Courage with self-control—acting despite apprehension, not denying it.
